I installed Ajax and Javascript libraries on the server. These libraries are really nice in that it makes it easy to implement ajax with php running on the server side.

I created the page for the Aquarium of the Pacific. After struggling to write a review, I am starting to realize that my writing skills are slowly disappearing. I need to go back to school and learn how to write. The link to the review is at:

We need to start putting dashing in between words for our file. I screwed up and will go back and do it for all the pages one day.

I was viewing site stats and a keyword that users have been using to search is 'san diego paved bike trails' …. this is important…we need to execute our strategy for making the biking pages.

Finally put together the video for the trip to the aquarium in Long Beach, CA. The link to the video is:

Good article…went through it….everything works. If you go through this article and understand it, you are pretty much ready for anything ajax.

I got a kind of sweet bonus at work and decided to buy some royalty free music. It's expensive….but I got 20 songs coming in and I'll burn everyone a copy once it comes in the mail.

Man, it's expensive and I think if we can find someone to make music from music loops it may be a business we have to get into.  Easy money everywhere you look.

I plan on doing some data entry this weekend and this coming week and I want to let everyone know so we don't duplicate effort.

I was going to discuss with you guys on what Jim and I brainstormed the other night in person, but this will be fine also. I plan on creating a login system for stuffvideo.com. The database architecture is too much to type, but this is what I want to see in a week or two.

1) Login System using sessions. Validate users by having them check their email and activate their account. Users need to be able to change/recover password.

2) The ability to comment on any of the events that we post. (ratings included…be able to rank comments by ratings/most useful/lowest score/highest score)

3) The ability to send a newsletter out to all of our users on a weekly basis. (HTML based)

4) The ability for the user to disable the newsletter.

I'll just go on and implement this the way I see it. We'll have more meetings later so we can have more input from everybody to steer the direction of future features and releases.

PS - I have lots of chicken left, if anybody wants leftovers come by….it probably won't taste good out of the fridge though…oh well.

I couldn't work on the site the past few days because I got food poisoning. Saturday, I was feeling bad. Sunday, I woke up at noon and went to bed at 3pm! Tired.

I'm thinking about doing some programming later this week when I feel better. Anyone interested in a Church's Chicken party at my place Wednesday night? We want to show off our new place and maybe talk about some design decisions for stuffvideo.

I put together the video for our trip to Balboa Park. I wasn't able to get all of Balboa, since there is so much to see and do there, however, I think I did a good job of capturing what Balboa Park had to offer. I sort of left a little bit of mystery so that the adventurer can venture out to Balboa Park and do some exploring themselves.

Finish place holder pages for road bike routes. I'm 75% done with data entry for the road bike section. I need to add route description but I'm hoping that description will not be necessary if I could figure out a way to draw out a route with Google Maps.

For the rest of this week and next week, I will research on how to draw a route with Google Maps or at least whether it's possible and how complicated it could be if it is possible. I saw some online info that shows that it is possible but I need to do more research on the how and the level of granularity.
