I am doing some cleanup right now on stuffvideo.com.  I am making each of the pages more complete by making it more user friendly (in terms of navigation) and more visually appealing.

I am finally at the point where I will be promoting the site.  The first thing I’ll do is make sure I submit the site to the major search engines and free directories.  We’ll see how much traffic will increase by in a few weeks.

I am thinking about adding a forum to the site.  PHPBB will do just nicely.

This has been a very fun summer for us.  The developers of stuffvideo.com are from Wichita, KS (born and raised).  We still keep in touch with our old friends from back home and over the last two months we have had plenty of our friends from Kansas visit us in San Diego.  There was so much to show them in San Diego that we wished they’d stay longer.

Now that our friends are gone, we can focus on the continued development of stuffvideo.com.  Our unique hits has increased from 1,000 to 1,300 over the last month so we are showing signs of growth.  Recently, we started to serve google ads to help pay for hosting and video equipment.  We are getting about a 4% conversion rate on our ads, so that means for every 100 page views, we get four clicks.  I estimate that we will start making about $130 a month to put back into the website so that we can create a more awesome experience for our users.  We hope to grow quickly in the next few months so this will be a very exciting time for StuffVideo.com.

I’ve been thinking about making the site more interactive. My goal is to somehow link users to other users with the same interests. Currently, we have 30 registered members. So there is interest. I also got to come up with a marketing strategy really soon. Brainstorming ideas will be posted soon. See ya!

StuffVideo.com has been upgraded to a page rank of 5/10 by google. This is great news for us. We work hard everyday on our free time to create a very unique and fun travel/informational sight for San Diegans and tourists.

This weekend, me and some friends are planning to go to a Padres game. We will definitely bring our cameras to take pictures and videos of the game and stadium in general. If we have time, we will capture the nightlife of downtown San Diego , CA.

StuffVideo.com started in March 2006 and have made significant progress since then. It has been fun going out to all the places in San Diego and sharing our experiences with the world.

There are hardly any Vietnamese/Chinese Restaurant information out there.  I guess it is up to StuffVideo to provide this information.  I have started adding restaurants and should finish doing the data entry by the end of this weekend.

I think I’ll hit up the beach this weekend also and get some more footages at and around the beaches in San Diego.

Seems like the pacific coast sky dive crew liked what I did on stuffvideo.com. They sent me a t-shirt and wrote a personal note about wanting to link to stuffvideo.com! Cool man! Maybe I can tell them to hook us up with free sky dive jumps!
